
(Washington D.C, 2018) Victoria Gonzalez from Parkland, FL, sobbed during the March for Our Lives in front of the Capitol building where over 800,000 people gathered to demand stricter gun control. Gonzalez's boyfriend was one of 17 victims in the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting happening in February which prompted the historical march.

(Syracuse, 2018) Rep. John Katko (R-NY 24th District) answered the press after his victory in the Midterm Election 2018. He is re-elected as New York's 24th district Representative in the United States House of Representatives, defeating the Democrat first-time runner Dana Balter.

(Syracuse, 2018) Republican Bob Antonacci's mascot showed up during his victory speech at the Republican Midterm Election Watch Party on November 6, 2018. Antonacci won against Democrat John Mannion to become Republican member-elect for the New York State Senate, representing District 50.

(Syracuse, 2017) Juanita Perez Williams celebrated winning the Democratic nominee for the Syracuse Mayoral election, on her way to become the first Latina Mayor ever of the city. She eventually lost to Ben Walsh who is the first independent Mayor of Syracuse in history. He is also the son of former Congressman James T. Walsh and grandson of former Congressman and Mayor William F. Walsh both of which were Republicans.

(Syracuse, 2018) A student walked on the $6 million promenade with built-in heating system during a substantial snow storm that shut down the entire university. It's only the second time since 1993 did the university have a snow day.

(Syracuse, 2017) People danced at the Relay for Life event on Syracuse University campus. Relay For Life is a community-based fundraising event for the American Cancer Society. Each year, more than 5,000 Relay For Life events take place in over twenty countries. Events are held in local communities, campus universities and in virtual worlds.
